Qualifications Eligible for Funding – to access up to date information regarding all qualifications that have been approved for public funding you should use the Hub provided by the Skills Funding Agency available by clicking here.

Local Flexibilities – Qualifications at Level 2, not eligible for the legal entitlement will still be eligible to be funded through the local offer. The local offer is expected to be the majority of the delivery of the Adult Education Budget and from 2017-2018, the SFA will begin to devolve these funds down to a local level.

When that occurs, providers will begin to develop Delivery Outcome Agreements with their LEP or Combined Authorities (whichever body becomes responsible for the devolved funds) for delivery of Level 2 and below qualifications that meet local priorities.

The SFA have published information on qualification eligibility principles for the Local Flexibility offer and that information can be found by clicking here.

Advanced Learner Loans – For learners that already have a first full Level 2 or Level 3, any further learning that isn’t an apprenticeship, at Level 3 to Level 6 will be funded by a Advanced Learner Loan system.

We are currently developing a range of qualifications further enhancing the availability of SFEDI Awards enterprise qualifications through the Advanced Learner Loan system and will keep updating centres through our monthly newsletters. Further information as to which qualifications are eligible for funding through the Advanced Learner Loan system can be seen here.

The SFA have also published funding rules specifically for Advanced Learner Loans for 2016/17 and provider information. That information can be found on the link below.
