This week Ofqual, the Regulator for qualifications in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland, launched their latest consultation, ‘After the QCF: A New Qualifications Framework’.
This consultation follows on from two pieces of research carried out in 2014 regarding the future of the QCF and what is meant by Guided Learning Hours.
The latest consultation looks at the introduction of a simple qualifications framework for all qualifications regulated by Ofqual to be called the ‘Framework of Regulated Qualifications’.
Ofqual are looking to hear the opinions of all stakeholders of the current and future system to ensure that the proposed framework meets the needs of all.
The consultation opened on 25th March and will run till 17th June 2015 and can be accessed here (https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/after-the-qcf-a-new-qualifications-framework) . You can either respond to Ofqual online, via email or through postal submissions.
