Today Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS) proudly awarded a number of qualifications to Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations at an awards ceremony at their offices.
Learners were awarded Level 3 Certificates in Tender Readiness for VCSE Organisations and Level 3 Certificates in HR for VCSE Managers.
This sees the first time these qualifications have been awarded nationally.
The awards are new national qualifications developed by SFEDI Awards in partnership with Nottingham CVS and Community Action Derby and have been delivered by Enterprise Development Officers Jules Sebelin and David Kelly and HR Consultant Saema Mohammad from Nottingham CVS.
Helen Kearsley-Cree, Nottingham CVS Chief Executive said, “Congratulations to all our learners who were awarded with their certificates today. We’re immensely proud to have delivered the first national SFEDI Awards certificated qualifications in Tender Readiness and HR for VCSE Organisations.
Our role as a CVS is to support the sustainability and evolution of the voluntary and community sector, and we are proud to offer training which enables the sector to be a professional employer and to adapt to the new funding landscape in which it finds itself. We can’t wait to deliver more training to organisations – so watch this space!”
The qualifications form part of a larger suite of qualifications leading to a Level 3 Diploma in Starting and Managing a VCSE Organisation.
In all, 13 learners took part, with their work and the support received by the delivery staff being highly commended by the representative from SFEDI Awards.
Nic Preston, Chief Executive at SFEDI Awards said, “We are delighted to have worked in partnership to develop these exciting new qualifications supporting the growth and sustainability of the VCSE sector. It has been great to see how, even at this early stage, businesses have already benefitted from the high level of support provided by these organisations through the delivery of these qualifications.”

With the start of the new academic year we thought it important to let you know the good news following our annual review of our fees and prices for the 2015/16 year. So what have we done:
* Frozen our approval and reapproval fees for yet another year, we like to work in partnership with the members of our delivery network. The network is made of up of companies of all shapes and sizes and freezing our approval and reapproval fees means that we can maintain this long standing relationship into the future continuing to support all of the budding entrepreneurs we meet during our working day.
* Frozen our registration and certification prices, we understand that the training industry is facing challenges with changes to the publicly funded market and also the challenges with providing cost effective commercial training. In freezing our prices we want to work with our delivery network to support you through the current challenges.
As ever, the SFEDI Awards fees and prices document is available through our website (http://www.sfediawards.com) or by contacting a member of the SFEDI Awards team who will not only be happy to forward a copy to you but also answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to continuing to work with you in the provision of high quality enterprise and enterprise support learning opportunities further enhancing the development of an increasingly entrepreneurial community.
If you do have any questions relating to the SFEDI Awards fees and prices or about any of our other products or services please contact a member of the team on [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) or 0845 224 5928 and we will be happy to support you.
With the start of both the new funding and academic years we thought it worth reminding our delivery network that if you are drawing down public funding for the delivery of SFEDI Awards qualifications it is important that you remember to enter a valid Unique Learner Number (ULN) into the Registr8 system.
If you are unsure of how to find an individual’s ULN or how to use the Learning Records Service please see the documentation available here (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/learner-registration-bodies-user-guide) .
