Thank you for your attendance and support at the first series of SFEDI Awards Road Show Events.

Your feedback from the events was very positive and we feel the events were a great success.

It was agreed following the events SFEDI Awards would circulate the subsequent information and documentation:

  • SFEDI Awards Presentation including Get Mentoring and the IOEE.
  • SFEDI Solutions Presentation.
  • The qualification brochure is available to download on the SFEDI Awards website. SFEDI Awards Brochure. If centres would like copies of the brochure please email customerservices@sfediawards.com. The brochures are available in batches of 50 or 100.
  • All qualification information including the new enterprise qualifications are available to view and download on the SFEDI Awards website. SFEDI Awards Qualifications
  • Mapping documents for the Essential Enterprise workbook against the new qualifications are available to download on the SFEDI Awards website. Level 2 Award in Aspects of Preparing to Set up a New Business under the heading essential documentation or  Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Set up a New Business under the heading essential documentation.
  • Ruth Lowbridge, CEO, of SFEDI Group mentioned a new project called ‘Virtual Campus’ and will be able to give an update following her first meeting on 28th June 2012.
  • Funding information discussed at the events can be found on slide 28 – 30 of the attached SFEDI Awards Presentation.
  • SFEDI Awards is looking to develop our suite of Social Enterprise qualifications. We would welcome centres who have an interest and expertise in this area to get involved in the development. Please email your interest to customerservices@sfediawards.com
  • All approved centres have the opportunity to submit a qualification application to deliver the new suite of enterprise qualifications free of charge until 30th June 2012. A copy of the application form can be found on the SFEDI Awards website under centre documentation. Qualification Application
  • Leigh Sear, CEO, of SFEDI Solutions referred to the Labour Market Intelligence Report in his presentation. This is awaiting final sign off from UKCES. Once this is complete a copy of the report will be available on the SFEDI Solutions website. www.sfedisolutions.co.uk
  • SFEDI Solutions will circulate the Research from the Get Mentoring Project in early June providing BIS are agreeable to the information being shared. The final steering group meeting is taking place on 30th May 2012.

Based on feedback from attendees SFEDI Awards will be reviewing the following:

Qualifications overviews so that centres have enough space to include their centre sticker or stamp.

Qualification development in the areas of Social Enterprise, Enterprise Coaching at Higher Levels 5 – 7 and Enterprise Mentor qualifications at Level 5 and above.

SFEDI Awards is looking at other resources that can be made available to the centre network to support their qualification delivery. This includes looking at the information and resources available on the Business Link website.

SFEDI Awards is reviewing the titling of the Practitioner Certificates in line with new Ofqual requirements.
